Felix Mildner writes for myHOMEBOOK about topics related to home, garden, DIY, and home improvement – and occasionally appears in front of the camera, for example at the grill or the workbench. Previously, he worked for several years at specialist magazines and platforms in the DIY, home, and garden sector. By now, he even knows how to set the torque properly on a cordless screwdriver and how to keep his houseplants alive longer.

Franka Kruse-Gering is an editor at myHOMEBOOK. She loves spending time in her own garden and writes about it. She has a passion for colorful and, above all, useful plants. In every season, she knows how to make use of them – whether it's jam, liqueur, or a cooling salve for sunburn. She also explores the topic of sustainability and strives to throw away less and reuse more.

Isa Kabakci was born in 1993, is originally from Swabia and has lived in Berlin for several years. During and after studying anthropology and Portuguese in Mainz, he completed several internships, jobs as a working student and a traineeship in editorial departments at various media companies. He has been working as an editor at BOOK family since 2022 and is responsible for product guides and comparisons.

Katharina Petzholdt is a freelance editor and writes about gardening topics for myHOMEBOOK. Her favorite subjects are natural gardening and all kinds of edible plants. Her love for greenery began many years ago when she first started growing tomatoes and tree spinach on her terrace. She devoured countless gardening books, attended seminars and tours focused on sustainable gardening, and experimented in her townhouse garden and on a rented plot. Today, she enjoys her own large garden in the countryside – surrounded by lettuces and spinaches, hazelnuts and elderberries, carrots, and more.

Katharina Regenthal is an editor at myHOMEBOOK. She writes about topics related to the home, DIY projects, interior design, and tenancy law. Occasionally, she also steps behind the camera – for example, when trying out life hacks. At home, she especially loves color – in her first own apartment, she painted yellow stripes on the kitchen wall. She also has a passion for flowers, which now last longer thanks to helpful tips from myHOMEBOOK.

Lars Lubienetzki is a self-proclaimed “kitchen fussbudget.” While the food is sizzling or the cake is baking, he immediately starts cleaning up. That’s why Lars particularly enjoys writing for myHOMEBOOK about topics that bring order to the home. Since he loves to snoop around for professional reasons anyway, he gets to the bottom of things thoroughly. Where do the names of everyday objects come from? Or what does that small symbol on a machine — the one everyone always overlooks — actually mean? Lars shares these insights with our readers, who will hopefully go through life a little bit wiser afterward.

Lena Hackauf writes for myHOMEBOOK about topics related to the home, garden, DIY projects, and the occasional animal escapade at home. Every now and then, she also steps behind the camera to demonstrate how to easily make things like twisted candles or homemade detergent. She is currently studying Journalism and Communication Studies as well as German Philology. In her personal life, she’s kept on her toes by her cat Krümel, two family dogs, and the ongoing quest to incorporate interior design trends on a student budget.

Mareike Schmidt writes for myHOMEBOOK about news, interior, and gardening. She has a particular interest in interior design – from classic design icons to the latest and trendiest décor and furnishing styles. In her personal life, she enjoys regularly redecorating her home and occasionally immerses herself in DIY projects. Her keen sense of aesthetics shines through, allowing her to stylishly bring creative ideas to life.

Marike Stucke focuses primarily on green topics at myHOMEBOOK. Portraits, hacks, and tips related to gardening and houseplants are her specialty – not just because of her background in biology. As a freelance journalist and online editor, she has frequently written articles about the world of botany. In addition, she has a passion for the visual search engine Pinterest, where she regularly finds inspiration for new topics.

Odett Schumann is a trained interior designer, which is why she primarily writes for myHOMEBOOK about topics related to living, interior design, and creating a cozy atmosphere. She is also interested in crafts, DIY solutions, sustainable living, and the philosophy of minimalism. After some time at myHOMEBOOK, her „green thumb” is now coming along quite well too.

Stephan has been working for many years as a freelance author and journalist, covering topics related to consumer topics, finance, and technology. Even as a child, he enjoyed taking apart technical devices to understand how they work. He likes to get to the bottom of things – whether it’s a hammer drill, a smartphone, or the financial markets.
