How to Cover a Litter Box

Building a nice cover for the litter box yourself has the main advantage of allowing you to customize it in terms of size and appearance. Here’s how:

First, use sandpaper to roughen the sides that will later be covered with tiles.
Next, arrange the tile mats as a test and cut them if necessary.
Apply the tile adhesive evenly and use a notched trowel to create grooves in the adhesive.
Then, you can stick the tiles on, wipe off excess adhesive, and mix the grout according to the instructions.
Use a spatula to roughly spread the grout over the tiles and wipe off the excess. Let everything dry thoroughly and wipe off any remaining residue.
