Cats enjoy being challenged. A puzzle board is a great way to keep them engaged. It allows them to work for their food and helps prevent them from gobbling it down. What You Need for a Puzzle Board for Cats
To make a puzzle board for cats, you don’t need much. Just make sure to use only dry food so the cardboard materials don’t get soggy.
Materials
- Wooden board
- Paper cups
- Egg cartons
- Toilet paper rolls
- Chocolate box
Tools
- Wood glue
- Spray paint (use only child- and pet-friendly sprays)
- Scissors
Puzzle Board for Cats–Here’s How
You can make a puzzle board for cats quickly and easily. However, it’s best to use the spray paint outdoors and allow time for it to dry thoroughly. Here’s how:
- Arrange the materials on the wooden board as desired and cut them if necessary.
- Apply wood glue to the individual containers and stick them onto the wooden board. Wait a few minutes for it to dry.
- In the final step, spray everything with the desired color and let it dry well. Then hide the food in the puzzle board–and you’re ready to go.
