Anyone can buy! How about homemade gingerbread for this year’s Christmas celebration? In our new episode of “myHOMEBOOK Bakery,” Mara shares her recipe for this popular holiday treat. Enjoy baking along!
The special thing about Elisenlebkuchen, as the finest gingerbread is also known, is that it doesn’t require any flour. This makes them particularly moist and soft. You’ll need a variety of other ingredients, which Mara from Mara’s Wonderland also presents in our video. She also explains the proper way to bake gingerbread.

Gingerbread Recipe to Bake Along
Here’s how: Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. Then add the liquid ingredients. Beat the eggs in the machine and add them – the dough is ready. Use a spoon to place the dough on the wafers and press down with your fingers. Then bake at 170 degrees for 15 minutes (top and bottom heat) in the oven. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate with a bit of butter in a water bath. After taking the wafers with the dough out of the oven, simply coat them with the chocolate and decorate with almonds. Enjoy baking and tasting!
