Noise late at night, trash in the stairwell, grilling on the balcony–conflicts among neighbors are common. Some are easily resolved, while others end up in court. Do you have such a neighbor? Share your story with us–we’ll publish selected stories on myHOMEBOOK.
Some neighborhood disputes sound almost too absurd to be true. This happened in Norway, where a family returned from vacation to find their house sawed in half. That’s right! The neighbor claimed that part of the property belonged to him and took a saw to it, as BILD reports. This is, of course, an extreme case that dragged on for several years. But even here, disputes with one’s “nightmare neighbor” are not uncommon, whether as a tenant or an owner.
myHOMEBOOK is looking for your neighborhood story
Have you experienced a dispute with your neighbor? Tell us about it! We will publish selected stories on myHOMEBOOK–anonymously, of course. Ideally, send us photos related to the story that we can publish in this context.
