Different hangers or clothes that are out of place and hanging down: When chaos reigns in the closet, it’s easy to lose track. But there are very simple and quick tricks to bring order to the closet.
Keeping order in the closet is not that easy. As soon as you search for a piece of clothing and can’t find it right away, chaos ensues. To prevent this from happening, you need a good overview in the closet–and you can get that quickly with simple hacks for more order in the closet. With these quick hanger hacks, anyone can bring order to their closet in no time.
1. The Can Trick
For more space and order in the closet, sometimes you don’t need much–with this hanger hack, you only need a can. Carefully open and remove the tab. The tab has two openings–simply hang a hanger through each one. This way, the clothes hang slightly staggered, and much more fits in the closet. You can also see this trick in the video in the article above.

2. Shower Curtain Rings for Accessories
Regular pants hangers can quickly and easily be repurposed for scarves, shawls, and ties. For this hanger hack, you only need a few shower curtain rings to quickly create more order. Line them up on the hanger bar–and then hang the accessories in the rings. This not only creates more order but also provides a better overview.
3. The Anti-Slip Trick
Hangers are generally designed for medium sizes. This means that larger clothing can easily slip off the hanger. But blouses made of smooth fabric or dresses with spaghetti straps also tend to hang crooked and slip. In such cases, hangers with a velvet cover are practical. If you don’t have those on hand or don’t want to buy new ones, you can easily make your old hangers non-slip. All you need is a regular rubber band. Wrap it around the shoulder sides–and the clothes won’t slip anymore.
The method can also be implemented with a hot glue gun. Apply hot glue to the shoulder sides and wait until everything is dry. The rubber-like surface ensures nothing slips off the hanger.
