The Swedish furniture giant is now again offering complete photovoltaic systems under the name “Solstråle.” Additionally, you can add a battery storage unit and a wallbox for electric cars. However, the entire process is now handled not by Ikea, but by a Swedish photovoltaic company.
How Much Do Ikea Solar Systems Cost?
The prices of the three complete solar systems depend on energy needs and roof space. With eight PV modules and an electrical output of 3.2 kilowatt-peak (kWp), the smallest unit costs 8,500 euros. The package price includes consultation and installation of the PV system. Homeowners with greater energy needs can choose 18 modules with an output of 7.2 kWp, costing 12,600 euros. The most comprehensive PV package offers 28 solar modules with an energy output of 11.2 kWp and costs 16,300 euros.
Ikea’s solar systems can be expanded with a battery storage unit of five kilowatt-hours. Interesting for electric car owners: You can also add a high-performance socket for 4,300 euros. With the so-called “wallbox,” you can charge your electric vehicle with your own solar energy.
