Year after year, the Swedish fashion chain H&M collaborates with major designers. This year is no exception. Fans can look forward to a partnership with Paco Rabanne. The special feature: There will also be some interior pieces available.
The H&M Home brand has been around since 2009. Over the years, various collaborations with different artists have been launched. This year, fans can look forward to a special collection: H&M Home x Paco Rabanne. The Parisian fashion house Paco Rabanne has not only designed a women’s and men’s collection but also some interior pieces. It is considered a tribute to Paco Rabanne, who passed away in February 2023, and takes us back to the 1970s.
Luxurious Interior Pieces in the Style of the 1970s
The pieces from the Paco Rabanne and H&M Home collection are all about the 1970s. However, if you’re thinking of curves, plexiglass, and colorful designs, you’re mistaken. The interior pieces showcase the luxurious side of the ’70s, focusing on metallic designs and geometric patterns. Perfectly matching the typical metallic designs of the fashion house–just think of the iconic Paco Rabanne sequin dresses.
The interior collection includes not only furniture and home accessories but also home textiles. Two standout pieces that might sell out quickly are a lamp adorned with round sequins, reminiscent of Rabanne’s dresses, and a sequin curtain. Complementing these are silver accessories such as playing cards in a luxurious silver case, a dice set, scented candles, cups, and vases–some featuring the label’s monogram.
For home textiles, Paco Rabanne uses geometric patterns, some of which include the logo. In addition to blankets and pillows, there are also rugs. Towels, bathrobes, and slippers resembling hotel slippers are also available. Combined with all the metallic furniture and accessories, the luxury feeling seems perfect.
Not only in design but also in materials, H&M Home and Paco Rabanne focus on timelessness and durability. Stainless steel, recycled polyester, and organic cotton were used.
Premiere for Creative Director Julien Dossena
The collection was designed by Julien Dossena, who has been the creative director at Paco Rabanne for ten years. For him, it’s a small premiere–he had only designed clothing before, not home accessories. Yet, it felt authentic, the designer told H&M. In the 1970s, founder Paco Rabanne designed some iconic metal furniture. Dossena’s goal was to create a luxurious atmosphere, he said.

Not only Dossena but also Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, Head of Design & Creative at H&M Home, is enthusiastic about the collaboration. At H&M Home, they are always looking for ways to offer customers something truly unique and present a world where fashion and interior design meet, Kravaev-Söderberg said. The fashion house Paco Rabanne was the perfect partner for this. According to H&M, it is the most comprehensive interior collection in collaboration with a designer to date.
