Plenty of Reason for More Primary Colors

Colors will play a crucial role in decorating in 2024. In particular, the primary colors red, blue, and yellow will be unavoidable in the coming year. This illustrious trio brings a touch of Bauhaus flair directly into the room. Red, in particular, will be seen in various shades: sometimes in bright red-orange, sometimes in matte carmine red. From cushions to wall shelves, everything is allowed.

And blue is no less present: An intense shade of blue looks particularly good on table lamps and ceilings. The third color in the group, yellow, will be seen more as an accent or in combination with one of the other two tones. However, all three colors bring plenty of energy and cheerfulness into the living space.

Glasses with Profile

If you don’t toast with a ribbed champagne coupe on New Year’s Eve, you’ll celebrate all festivities with an original glass like this by next year at the latest. Because glasses with ribbed profiles are one of the decor trends for 2024. From champagne flutes to whiskey tumblers, all glassware is equipped with well-formed ribs.

The look is particularly elegant as dark-tinted glass. But not only drinking glasses benefit from such a profile; other vessels like vases or storage jars can also carry the trend well.

Geometric Patterns: From Block Stripes to Checkerboard

Just like bold colors, loud patterns are making their way into our homes. Whether it’s bold block stripes or large-format checkerboard patterns–cushions, blankets, and rugs can’t help but dress in these striking designs.

Occasionally, different patterns may be combined. However, they should primarily have a geometric touch. And if you think this decor trend for 2024 only affects textiles, you’re mistaken: Vases, cake stands, and even candles won’t be without statement patterns next year.

C(hr)omeback

Chrome is back! What was already hinted at in the final days of 2023 will gain momentum as a decor trend in 2024. The reflective coating was once a key component of a trendy apartment or office setup in the 1990s. After many years of a poor reputation, chrome is finally back in style in 2024.

Wall and table lamps, as well as bowls, vases, and candle holders, will look great with the shiny surface. It may not be a lasting trend, but at least in the coming year, the neutral chrome will exude a great deal of elegance in the living space.

Hourglass-Shaped Vases
