A malfunction can turn a practical garden tool into a safety risk. This concerns a potentially defective switch on a specific cordless hedge trimmer–with potentially dangerous consequences.
Malfunction Possible with Einhell Hedge Trimmer
Einhell Germany AG is informing about a possible malfunction in certain units of their cordless hedge trimmer GE-CH 36/65 Li-Solo. According to the company, it may occur that the rear on/off switch remains in the on position during operation and does not automatically return.
In this case, the two-hand safety function of the hedge trimmer does not work properly. While the device does not continue running indefinitely, it can potentially be turned on by simply pressing the front switch.
The company therefore strongly advises against continuing to use the hedge trimmer. This is not a classic recall, as myHOMEBOOK learned in a conversation with an Einhell employee, but rather a consumer advisory.
