Stefanie Giesinger embraced vibrant colors when designing her office. Now, the model is offering a first glimpse into her home, which also features a unique color scheme.

As a model, Stefanie Giesinger travels a lot around the world–at home, she wants to recharge and relax. She has created just such a place in her 100-square-meter apartment in Berlin. It’s her first condo, which she bought in 2022. For the design and furnishing, she again received support from the interior duo Annewand, as she did with her office. Stefanie Giesinger has now given AD Magazine a glimpse into her apartment and reveals in an interview why each room has a different color and how she would like to live in the future.

Color as Far as the Eye Can See

Even when you open the apartment door, you can at least guess that colors play a big role in Stefanie Giesinger’s home. And then you find yourself directly in the heart of it–as she describes her living room in a TikTok video from AD Magazine.

The room is a combination of an open kitchen, living, and dining room. The cornflower blue kitchen is striking. “I just looked at a color palette. And, for example, this blue gave me such a good, warm feeling,” the model says in the video.

The dining table is also an eye-catcher, as it has an elevated extension at the end, creating a kind of standing desk in the middle of the room. And color was not to be missed here either: the large, cylindrical table leg is bright green.

Shapes and Colors in “Space Age” Style

Less colorful but rich in shapes, it continues into the corner where the couch is located. It seems as if the wall and couch merge into one another–and seamlessly, as the seating has no corners, only curves. Instead of a coffee table, the sofa’s frame extends into a small table, which holds, among other things, a record player.

The couch occupies the entire niche in the living room–and that’s intentional. “I even had it enlarged afterward because it was too small for me,” Giesinger says in the interview with AD Magazine. Above it hangs a ceiling-high, dark wooden bookshelf. The combination of soft shapes, light and dark colors, and chrome lamps evokes a bit of a ’70s vibe.

Fittingly, opposite is a chrome “alien chair,” as Giesinger calls it, and a mirror adorned with disco balls. “I love aliens, which is why I liked it so much. I’ve somehow felt my whole life as if I’m not from this world,” the model says in the AD interview. The chrome pieces also perfectly match the “Space Age” look–as she describes her interior style.

“Space Age” Style
“Space Age” translates to “space age.” It refers to the period from the 1950s to the mid-’70s. The style is characterized by round shapes, generally curves, bolder colors, and chrome furniture.

Colors to Match the Mood

Each room in the apartment has its own color concept–Stefanie Giesinger explains the background in the interview: “I’ve always noticed that colors have a strong influence on my well-being.” She had already shown a bold use of color in her office. Her plan: If she liked it, she would dare to try it at home. Then she looked at which colors evoked something positive in her. Based on this, she chose the colors.

The dressing room has also become particularly colorful. There, a Bottega green meets a Prada blue. Giesinger chose the colors for a good reason: “They stimulate my energy and give me creativity.”

Custom-Made Furniture to Make Everything Fit

The bedroom is a special highlight. At its center is a bed that resembles a cloud–in stark contrast, the wall color is a bright green. Originally, the room was painted in a muted green. “I then started sleeping there and realized that I liked the color,” Giesinger says in the AD interview. To match the rest of the color concept, she then opted for a more vibrant shade.

She had the bed custom-made by a carpenter. She had previously seen it on an Instagram page that shows pictures from the ’80s. In general, some furniture is custom-made–and there’s a reason for that. Giesinger wanted everything to fit perfectly in the apartment, as it’s her first condo. There are no old pieces from the past: “I really wanted to redesign everything for this phase of life and not carry anything from the past with me.”

A Future Without Color

Colorfully painted ceilings, vibrant furniture, and chrome accessories–Stefanie Giesinger’s “Space Age” style is unique and striking. However, she doesn’t always want to live this way. In her dream, she envisions living with her future family in a house with a garden and by the water. It should be large and bright, but without colors.

“When I think of this future house, I see something neutral so that everyone can somehow express themselves,” the model tells AD Magazine. Otherwise, you would impose your taste and style on others, she explains. In her apartment in Berlin, however, she has fully expressed herself: “This is me,” she says.
