Recalls often cause concern among consumers—this time it’s about something almost everyone has at home: kitchen utensils. The recall involves certain kitchen tools from the brand Oxo, as potentially carcinogenic substances have been detected. What to do now, and which products are specifically affected.
Recall Due to Concerning Substances in Kitchen Tools
Kaz Europe Sàrl, manufacturer of the Oxo Good Grips brand, has initiated a recall for two kitchen tools. The reason is an elevated level of primary aromatic amines (PAA) detected in a batch.
According to produktwarnung.eu, these substances are often used in the production of dyes and pigments. Some representatives of these chemical compounds are considered potentially carcinogenic. Therefore, further use of the affected products is strongly discouraged.
